On our Escape the City Winter Hikes, we take you straight from the city and into winter wonderland.

Important information!
To stay comfortable, we recommend dressing in layers that can be adjusted as needed. A waterproof outer layer, gloves, a hat, and warm socks are essential to stay warm in winter.
Hikes may be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather conditions.

The hike lasts for about 2.5 to 3 hours.

To ensure the best experience, each hike requires a minimum of 2 participants.

Locations & how to get there
We offer our Escape the City Hike close to the city centre of Lillehammer. The starting point is easily accessible by public transport or foot & we recommend taking the bus because parking can be limited.
Mesnaelva
The meeting point is in front of Birkebeineren Hotel in Lillehammer. Start & length of the hike are adjusted to the bus schedule.
By Bus
From Lillehammer skysstasjon (train station) the bus leaves every 15 minutes. It’s a 5 minute bus drive and a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to the meeting point.
