Originally from Northern Germany, Renée moved to the Lillehammer area to live closer to nature and the mountains – and quickly found herself right at home in the Norwegian outdoors.
She spends almost every day outside, whether it's on skis or snowshoes in the winter wonderland around Lillehammer or running and hiking through the hills in summer – usually while foraging for edible plants and always accompanied by her dog. Being outside is not just something she does – it's part of her life.
Renée loves connecting with visitors from all over the world, helping them feel safe, curious and excited outdoors, and introducing them to Norwegian friluftsliv in every season.

As an outdoor guide and systemic coach, Wiebke is dedicated to sharing this vibrant outdoor culture with visitors from all around the globe. Whether she is leading guided hikes, hosting Wilderness Lunches, or guides snowshoe or cross-country ski tours, her focus is always on fostering a genuine connection to the environment. Maren grew up in the Kongsvinger area, right by Finnskogen, where a love for the outdoors started early in her life. Skiing in winter and gathering around a bonfire in summer were simply part of growing up and that mix of seasons has shaped how she sees nature.
In 2018, Maren moved to Lillehammer to study sport management, and has grown very fond of the valley and its forests and mountains close by ever since. With a passion for volunteering and working with people, she feels most at home when connecting with others – whether that's on a mountain trail or while sharing a meal around a campfire. As we say in Norway: food always tastes better outside.
She’s most at peace while hiking, especially around sunset time. Add a love for travelling and ice cream, as well as an endless supply of fun facts about Norwegian culture, and you've got someone who's endlessly curious about new places and new people.
Maren is excited to share both the calm of Norwegian winters and the long, golden summer days with our guests – and can't wait to meet you on the trail.
